Group Offers Reward in Alleged Local Van Theft

ROYERSFORD PA – A cash reward is being offered by the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers organization to eligible tipsters who provide information regarding a 2015-model Dodge Caravan allegedly stolen Wednesday (Feb. 16, 2022) from the Royersford section of Upper Providence Township, its CrimeWatch website reported.

The gray-colored minivan was taken sometime between 4:50 and 5:05 a.m. from an address in the 100 block of Providence Forge Road, according to Upper Providence police. At the time, the vehicle was left unlocked while it was being warmed up, they said.

It later was located on Market Street in Collegeville, where it “had been left abandoned by the actor(s),” the webpage stated.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers posted its reward notice Friday (Feb. 18). All who call it toll-free at 1-800-472-8477, or who submit a tip online here remain anonymous, the organization said. Rewards must lead to an arrest in, help find a fugitive in, or assist in solving the alleged theft, it noted.

Information on the incident, although accurate when released, may later be changed or updated, it added.
