CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A Woodstock Police officer saved the life of a 2-year-old boy on Thursday and his department wants the public to know.
Officer B. Dixon was headed home from his shift when a call of a two-year-old not breathing came in.

Dixon responded to the scene swiftly because he was close by.
He performed CPR and was able to revive the child.

The child was taken to a local hospital and is doing well, police said.
“Thank you, Officer Dixon, for being a family’s hero tonight. You represent our agency and our city so well,” the department said via Facebook.
