HOUSTON – A $5,000 reward is being offered for on information that leads to the arrest an conviction in a horrific dog abuse case.
The Houston chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is offering the reward after they found a chihuahua mix puppy with a hair tie wrapped tightly around his snout. That caused severe swelling and a deep laceration to the bone of the puppy, who has since been named “Sharky.”
“Sharky” was found recently by an animal lover in a parking lot off North Freeway at West Road.
The 8-week-old puppy is recovering after undergoing surgery.
If you have any information about Sharky’s owner, call (713) 869-SPCA.
