FDNY Firefighters Save 2 People From 20-Story High-Rise Using Rope Rescue

FDNY firefighters attempted a daring rope rescue to save people in a high-rise fire, 20 stories above the ground. In order to reach the trapped victims, the firefighters dropped ropes secured from the roof. Afterward, they tied the individuals to the ropes and slowly lowered them to the floor below so they could be pulled into safety. In total, 38 people were injured in the high-rise fire. Investigators say the blaze was caused by a lithium-ion battery.
