Local volunteer fire departments are receiving a $100,000 boost from Angelina County after inflation and skyrocketing fuel costs have left them in a bind.
Angelina County Commissioners approved a series of budget requests Tuesday morning, including the money for the volunteer fire departments, totaling more than $260,000.
