$15K Offered In Delco Hit-And-Run That Killed Cop’s Daughter

SHARON HILL, PA — A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the driver who struck and killed the daughter of a Delaware County police officer over the weekend.

According to Sharon Hill Borough Police, the crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at 84th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Sharon Hill.

Killed was Asley McLean, 27, of Glenolden.

McLean was crossing Lindbergh Boulevard at 84th Street near the Philadelphia and Sharon Hill border she was struck and killed.

She was the daughter of Folcroft Borough Police Officer Leslie McLean, who is a member of the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police.

Sharon Hill Police said the striking vehicle was a 2023 Gray Honda Accord with New York tags and was reported parked in the 100 block of Greenwood Road in Sharon Hill recently.

Police on Sunday charged the vehicle’s owner, 47-year-old Monia Tabon, in connection with the crash.

She’s charged with making false reports to police and felony criminal use of a communication facility, according to court records.

Action News reports Tabon reported the vehicle stolen about an hour after the crash, but the vehicle showed no signs of being stolen when it was found in Philadelphia.

“We don’t believe she was the driver of the vehicle, but we do believe she possibly knows who had the vehicle, and the vehicle was not stolen at the time of the accident,” Sharon Hill Police Chief Richard Herron said.

Tabon is being held on $100,000 bail, court documents show.

Delaware County FOP Lodge 27, Philadelphia FOP Lodge #5 President John McNeesby, and an anonymous donor are all offering $5,000 for a total reward of $15,000 for information leading to the striking driver’s arrest.
