CENTRE TWP., Pa. — Nearly $2,000 worth of firearms were reportedly stolen from an unlocked garage in Mohrsville on Friday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say an unknown suspect stole four firearms from a detached garage on the victim’s property located on Irish Creek Road, between 5 and 6 p.m.
The weapons were left in plain view on the second floor of the unlocked garage, police said.
Police report that the guns stolen include a Smith & Wesson .44 magnum revolver and .22 SW pistol, and a fieldmaster .22 Remington Pistol. Also stolen was a Mossberg X, police said.
Officials remind the public to always secure all firearms left unattended.
Police ask anyone with information should call PA Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 472-8477. Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward, police said.
