CENTRAL POINT — The Military Order of the Purple Heart’s Oregon chapter is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of a Purple Heart medallion taken earlier this week from the Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial in Don Jones Memorial Park. The monument honors wounded and fallen veterans, according to organization member Keith Wittnebel. Central Point police learned of the theft Monday, said Central Point police Capt. David Croft.
