Flint family paints rock to raise awareness of missing mother

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Seven years after a Flint woman was last seen, her family is raising awareness and trying to get tips on her whereabouts.

The family of Teresa Towne-Woolard is asking for the community to remember and help find her. She was last seen Dec. 11, 2016, at the intersection of Fenton and Hemphill roads on the border of Flint and Burton.

Towne-Woolard was 48 years old when she disappeared.

“To have her gone for almost seven years today is still very difficult for us to deal with,” said Laura Toth, who is Towne-Woolard’s sister. “Somebody out there knows something and if we stop talking, they’re not going to talk.”

On Monday, Towne-Woolard’s daughter, Miranda Lynn, remembered her mother.

To raise awareness for all missing women, she and other family members of missing persons painted the community block at the intersection of Hammerberg Road and 12th Street in Flint.

Anyone with information about Towne-Woolard’s disappearance or whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL. A reward of up to $2,000 is available for information leading to her.
