Police seek help finding Shih Tzu stolen from vehicle in southeast DC

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking for the community’s help in searching for a dog that was stolen from a parked vehicle in southeast D.C. over the weekend.

MPD said a victim left her dog and her purse in a vehicle in the 1900 block of M Street, Southeast just before 1 p.m. on Saturday. When she returned, the dog and the purse were missing.

Police said the two-year-old Shih Tzu named Theo was last seen wearing a green collar with a bone-shaped dog tag.

Anyone with information can call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. MPD currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District.
