Equipment stolen from Hopkins farm, reward offered

Property owner offering $5,000 for information leading to recovery of skid loader and arrest of thief

HOPKINS, S.C. — Investigators with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are asking the public for help in locating a stolen piece of farm equipment.

Sometime during the evening of July 24, someone stole a 2007 T-300 Bobcat skid steer from a property in the 7200 block of Bluff Road, near Hopkins. The Bobcat had a load bucket attached to its front and the owner believes the thief used a rollback/flat bed truck to take the Bobcat.

The owner told RCSD that he owned the Bobcat and there was no lien against it.

The last four digits of the Bobcat’s serial number is 5831, and the bucket’s serial number is 0363.

If you have seen the Bobcat or know of its whereabouts, you are asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or through the P3Tips app.

A $5,000 cash reward is being offered by the property owner for information leading to the recovery of the equipment and the arrest of the thief.
