Pick ‘n Save collecting donations for Hunger Action Month to benefit families in need

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – September is Hunger Action Month, and Pick ‘n Save stores are rounding up at the register to support families in need.

Now through Sept. 30, during checkout, shoppers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

Three Wisconsin wholesale dealers have licenses revoked for violating state law

To celebrate, Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market will donate pallets to local food pantries around the state. Organizers say donations are expected to total nearly 10,000 pounds of food, or 8,300 meals, to help a person or family in need.

According to Feeding America, just 50¢ provides five meals, with $1 generating ten meals. This means your donation generates meals to help feed families and individuals in need across Wisconsin.
