Reward offered in Salisbury hit and run that led to life-threatening injuries

A reward is being offered by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office in the case of a serious hit and run that took place in Salisbury in August.

The reward is being offered for information leading to the identity and arrest of the individual responsible for the hit and run that occurred Aug 15. Any information can be submitted anonymously to Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776, the Criminal Investigation Division at 410-548-4898, or via the Sheriff’s Office app or website.

On Aug. 15, at 8:26 p.m., deputies, troopers and EMS were dispatched to Walston Switch Road, north of Shavox Road, for a seriours motor vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 15-year-old male was operating a skateboard along the roadway in the 6000 block of Walston Switch Road when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The suspect vehicle left the scene.

The victim was flown to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

The collision isbeing investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about this case should contact Cpl. Evan Kolb at 410-548-4892 ext. 269.
