$5,000 reward offered for arrest of Upper Darby man accused of firing into bus

The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Raphael
Ezeamaka, 18, of Upper Darby.

On Oct. 10, a warrant for attempt to commit criminal homicide, aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy was issued for Ezeamaka in a shooting that took place Oct. 8 in the 700 block of South 57th street.

The marshals said that after a verbal dispute on the SEPTA Route G bus, Ezeamaka got off the bus and fired multiple shots into the bus from the outside.

Three women were struck and transported to local hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening wounds, marshals said.

The Marshals Service Violent Crimes Fugitive Task is now assisting the Philadelphia police in apprehending Ezeamaka and is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The $5,000 reward will be processed immediately upon arrest and not upon conviction.

Ezeamaka is 5 feet 10 inches and about 150 pounds. His last known address was in the 100 block of North Fairview Avenue in the Highland Park section of the township.

“Anyone who purposely shoots into a crowded bus full of innocent people demonstrates an absolute disregard for human life. Apprehending Raphael Ezeamaka is paramount to public safety,” said Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark.

Tips can be called in to the Marshals Philadelphia Tipline at 1-866-865-TIPS (8477) or at www.usmarshals.gov.

Philadelphia police had previously given the wrong municipality for Ezeamaka.
