Over a dozen guns stolen from Middletown gun store, officials say

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is investigating a gun store burglary at Middletown Firearms FFL in Virginia on the morning of Oct. 28, ATF said.

Surveillance footage showed three suspects go into the store and steal approximately 17 firearms as one suspect kept watch, officials said. They escaped in a silver, white Kia Soul with Maryland plates.

The ATF will partner with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and the firearms industry to find the suspects involved, officials said. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) said they’d match the ATF’s reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft.
