NORWALK — Police are renewing calls for the public’s help in solving a double homicide, offering a $50,000 reward as 10-year anniversary approaches on Friday.

On Aug. 6 of 2011, 22-year-old Rickita Smalls and 27-year-old Iroquois Alston were both shot dead while sitting in a car parked on Avenue B.

Now the state is offering the reward “for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for their deaths,” Norwalk police said Thursday.

Family said the two were dating at the time they were killed.
