PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – Phoenix police are offering a reward for any information that leads to an arrest in a deadly drive-by shooting that killed a 23-year-old woman last month. Investigators say on Sunday, July 18, Destiny McClain was shot and killed near 17th Avenue and McDowell road after an apparent drive-by shooting while she was ordering food from a food truck.
The shooters were in a car and opened fire in her direction and McClain was randomly hit as she stood in a crowd of people, police said.
The woman has been identified as 23-year-old Destiny McClain.
Investigators say a vehicle of interest, a newer-model, dark-colored 4-door sedan was seen leaving the area eastbound on McDowell Road from 17th Street.
Friends and family of McClain raised money to go to Silent Witness who is now offering a $4,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
