The U.S. Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected in two murders Thursday in Decatur and Huntsville.
Police say Ricardo S. Bass, 40, may be armed and should be considered extremely dangerous.
Huntsville police said officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of McVay Street around 5:50 a.m. Thursday. Jeffrey Carden, 31, of Huntsville, was discovered dead at the scene from a fatal gunshot wound, police said.
Then, at 6:20 a.m., Decatur police were called to the scene of a robbery at the Wavaho station, 707 Wilson St. N.W. Mark Allen Nicholson died there from gunshot wounds.
Bass is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 215 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.
