BERKELEY (BCN)
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the death of Charles Feezel in Berkeley in June, police said Tuesday.
Feezel, 50, of Oakland, was struck at 9:36 p.m. June 14, by vehicle as he was lying on Telegraph Avenue between Webster Street and Ashby Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle drove away after the collision, according to police. Feezel was taken to a hospital where he died.
Witnesses told police the vehicle that hit Feezel was a lowered, dark-color, mid-90s sedan with tinted windows. The vehicle may have been a Nissan Altima and it was last seen traveling north into Berkeley.
Police said even the smallest detail may help investigators solve the crime and bring some closure to the family.
Anyone with information can call the Police Department’s traffic unit at (510) 981-5980.
