A news release issued Thursday said Morris, a type 1 diabetic, went missing June 25 with no insulin. “Rick reported critically low blood sugar levels prior to going missing,” the news release said. “His family was able to get him to eat a sandwich, but he was gone before they could recheck his blood sugar.’

Morris was last seen at 1:55 a.m. at his home near 780 W. 700 South in Tooele.

The news release also asks that Tooele residents check their properties for Morris or his belongings; including canals, ditches, drainage tunnels, fields, mountain areas, sheds, barns, old cars, or under brush/trees.

There will be another search for Morris on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the news release said. Searchers can assist when it is convenient for them. Searchers are asked meet at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 1030 S. 900 West in Tooele at the entrance on the north side.

Pre-registration is not required, however it will make check-in faster. You can pre-register for the search here.
