HUNTINGTON TWP. — The Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers are offering a $2,000 cash reward for anyone with information regarding a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy in March.
Gabriel Bierly, of Huntington Township, was killed while riding his bicycle along Bonnieville Road on March 5 of this year.
Witnesses identified a dark-colored pickup truck as the vehicle that struck the child. The vehicle was last seen fleeing east from the scene on Bonnieville Road. Bierly was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck, whom state police said back in March that they believed to be male, has yet to come forward. State police also believe that the driver knew that they hit Bierly based on the manner in which they fled the scene.
The Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers posted information about the case to their Facebook account on Tuesday, advertising a $2,000 reward for anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the driver.
Anyone with information is asked to call either the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS or to contact the Shickshinny barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police at 570-542-4117.
