A family in Greensboro is still searching to find the person or people responsible for taking their son from them one year ago.Jonathan Brockett was found shot in his car just after 4 a.m. on July 14, 2020. He died two days later. In the year since, answers have been hard to find but Brockett’s family is still pleading for the community’s help.”I’m sure someone has heard something, said something, knows something,” Brockett’s aunt Keeva McFarland said. “We just want you to come forward! Just come forward. We have a reward for him.”An anonymous donor has partnered with Guilford County Crime Stoppers to offer an $8,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.Brockett’s father Bill said even after a year, no information is too small and silence is not an option.”You continue to let a killer or killers roam the streets. You need to speak up now before another child gets shot or killed,” Brockett said. “If we don’t do it for Jonathan who are we going to do it for? If we don’t do it for him, then when are we going to do it.
