A year after a man was gunned down in Franklin, a $15,000 reward is being offered in an effort to find his killer.
Jamarcus Esmon, 26, was fatally shot on Edgewood Boulevard around 2 a.m. June 27, 2020. He died at the scene after leaving a birthday party.
Police are still working to locate his killer and haven’t yet named a suspect in the case. Esmon’s killing marked the city’s only homicide in 2020.
The original $5,000 reward has tripled to $15,000 thanks to Gov. Bill Lee and the efforts of District Attorney Kim Helper, a news release said.
