A reward is being offered for information relating to the May theft of a statue at Dow Park in Jamestown.
The statue is part of a series known as the “Underground Railroad Tableau.” City parks employees noticed that the piece, which had recently been cleaned, was missing from its spot at the park and notified police.
The statue has not yet been located.
The reward, up to $2,500 from Crime Stoppers WNY, requires information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for the theft.
“Citizens are urged to come forward with information on this incident,” a notice from Crime Stoppers states.
Crime Stoppers WNY can be reached at 867-6161 or by submitting a tip at the Crime Stoppers mobile app “Buffalo Tips.”
