Reward offered for information on intentionally-set Warren house fire

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The State Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for the public’s help for information about a vacant house fire in Warren.

It happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Mercer Court NE.

Investigators say the fire was intentionally set.

Smoke could still be seen smoldering from the home late Thursday morning, and the house was completely destroyed.

“The investigators have also spoken with a person of interest, some other witnesses. They’re trying to track down some video of what may have happened there,” said Warren Fire Chief Ken Nussle.

The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.

Anyone with information can call the State Fire Marshal’s tip line at 800-589-2728.
