Reward offered in Red Bluff drive-by shooting

RED BLUFF — A $1,000 reward was announced Wednesday for information about a May 29 drive by shooting in the 1500 block of Johnson Street in Red Bluff.

A white sedan was identified as driving by a residence just after 11 p.m. May 29 and firing numerous rounds from what was later determined to be a .22-caliber firearm, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the Red Bluff Police Department. The subjects fired at a residence that had several young adults outside on the front porch area.

Two people were struck by bullets, the release said. Several shell casings were recovered from the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital and their names were not released by police.

Police are seeking assistance from anyone who may have knowledge or information regarding the shooting, the release said. The department has partnered with Tehama County Secret Witness to offer the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
