Reward offered in Sylacauga shooting that killed 1, injured another

A reward is being offered in the June shooting death of a man and the wounding of a woman in Sylacauga.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Friday announced the $1,000 reward for information leading to the suspect or suspects responsible for the slaying of 46-yearold Bradford Franklin Isbell. Rachel Elizabeth Hayes, 32, was also shot multiple times.

Sylacauga police responded about 10 p.m. on June 23 to 794 Harper Springs Road on a report of someone shot. When they arrived, they found Isbell dead outside the residence.

Hayes was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham and survived the shooting.

Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson has said investigators do not believe this was a random shooting. The case is being investigated by Sylacauga police and agents from the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
