Ukraine soldier rescues dog on frontline near Kyiv
STORY: In one of the rooms a soldier found a toy music box and when he played it the black, shaggy-haired dog appeared, wagging its tail and seemingly intent on making friends.Soldier and dog seemed to form an immediate bond and after making an improvised lead, the soldier led the pet away.According to documents found in the abandoned apartment, the dog’s name is Bavaria and the soldier hopes to reunite her with her owners.The region of Kyiv has been recaptured by the Ukrainians, although nearby villages have been abandoned.Ukrainian officials reported shelling around the capital Kyiv and the northern region of Chernihiv on Wednesday (March 30), despite a promise by Moscow to scale down military operations there.
