NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) – A non-profit is offering a $5,000 reward for information that will help locate the owner of a dog dumped earlier this month in Naugatuck.
According to the Naugatuck Animal Control, a resident found the dog on June 3 off of Great Hill Road by Schildgen Pond. The dog was then rushed to a local hospital for signs of a heat stroke.
The dog, who is estimated to be about eight months to a year old, also showed obvious signs of neglect. He has made a recovery after being in the ICU and is now in the care of animal control.
Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates is now offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and protection of the person responsible for the conditions and abandonment of the dog.
