$5K Reward Offered To Arrest Driver Who Intentionally Hit Suffolk Cop

LINDENHURST, NY — A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of a man who intentionally struck a Suffolk County police officer in Lindenhurst earlier this month.

On March 9 at about 7:30 p.m., Christian Castillo, 20, used his vehicle to intentionally strike police vehicles and a First Precinct Anti-Crime Unit Police officer who was standing outside his police car.

The officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Castillo is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent Bay Shore and Brentwood, police said.

A Fast Cash Reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. The reward will be issued within seven days of an arrest, police said.
