Dog abandoned in a crate by the river in Appomattox

There’s a reward offered in an animal cruelty case in Appomattox.

The Appomattox Animal Shelter posted on their Facebook page saying that someone left a dog in a crate by the river.

The dog was found on Monday. There’s a $400 reward for information leading to the owner.

The shelter said there is no excuse for abandoning a dog like this.

They said that you should always call them first if you cannot keep your pet.
