BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A $1000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the brutal killing of a dog.

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) is offering the reward for anyone that is able to provide information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s).

Back in April the RISPCA was contacted by the Barrington Police Department after a dead dog  washed up on one of the beaches in town. Following the call, a necropsy was performed by the staff at RISPCA and it was determined the dog had been shot multiple times.

Anyone with information may contact Special Agent Earl Newman at Earl.Newman@RISPCA.org or by calling the Barrington Police Department at 401-437-3940
