GEORGIA — The FBI announced Tuesday it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect they believe shot and killed a clerk Friday at an Oconee County RaceTrac.

RaceTrac is also offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.

Early Friday morning, officers from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office found Elijah Wood, 23, shot dead behind the counter of the RaceTrac at 7921 Macon Highway in Watkinsville. Investigators said they believed that Wood had been shot during an attempted robbery.

Security photos and video of the suspect show him wearing dark-colored clothing, a face mask and gloves, and armed with a handgun. A statement from the FBI said that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
