MONTICELLO, ILL. (WICS) — An Illinois man was arrested for aggravated animal cruelty, according to the Monticello Police Department.
On July 14, the Monticello Police Department conducted an animal abuse investigation in a trailer park located at 353 W. Monroe St.
A search warrant was obtained and executed. Police say evidence was obtained from inside the trailer and will be forwarded to the state’s attorney.
Police later arrested Devon Guttner, 27, of Monticello.
Guttner was taken to the Piatt County Correctional Center and released into their custody.
The Monticello Police Department is working with the state’s attorney’s office to find a proper and legal way to place the impounded animals.
