Two women facing charges after accusations of horse abuse in Clermont County

Two women are under arrest on animal cruelty charges in Clermont County. Nicole Flynn, 48, and Peyton Flynn, 20, are facing multiple counts relating to five horses. The investigative paperwork paints a grim picture. A gray thoroughbred, a chestnut quarter horse stallion, and a chestnut quarter horse mare are all listed as emaciated and malnourished. Those three were all given a one out of nine body score by an attending veterinarian. Two other horses were listed as malnourished with insect bites and other issues. The horse rescue that is taking care of the animals, Fighting Chance Rescue, is barred by a judge from talking about the case or even taking pictures of the horses for their own files for now. The horses were taken from a small farm in a suburban Miami Township neighborhood on Carpenter Road.
