CCCTV footage shows the split second an Indian policeman pulls a woman from the brink of death as a train hurtles towards her in Uttar Pradesh.
The elderly woman was in the direct path of the train and likely would have been killed had the Railway Police Force official in Lalitpur train station not come to her rescue on Saturday.
Head constable Kamlesh Kumar Dubey, who can see the train approaching, frantically waves his hand to warn the woman against crossing the railway track.
But Ramsakhi Tiwari, a 65-year-old woman from the village Padaria in the north of India, crosses anyway.
Dubey grabs the woman and quickly pulls her up just in time as the Sampark Kranti express shoots past them.
Passengers at the scene saluted the efforts of the officer after seeing the miraculous rescue of Tiwari.

According to local media, the elderly woman did not listen to the warnings of the railway police personnel and tried crossing the railway track despite knowing the train was about to pass.

‘An elderly woman crossing the track at Lalitpur station of Jhansi division was saved by the railway security personnel posted there by playing on her life,’ said the Ministry of Railways in a statement.
‘All are requested to use Foot Over Bridge to go from one platform to another.’
Viewers took to social media to praise the policeman, but other said the woman should have known better.
‘Because of such ignorant people, our security guard has to save them at the palm of their lives,’ said Twitter user Pritesh A Patel in Hindi, who added: ‘You take care of yourself. Security guard, your life is also precious for the country, don’t let it go this way.’
Rajesh Sehra, who works at Indian railways and lives in Jhansi, said: ‘Many congratulations to the RPF personnel for their alertness. But strict action should be taken against such people who play with their lives as well as put someone else’s life in danger because of them.
‘Such insolent people put all the blame on the administration when an accident happens.’
Other uses said the government should investigate the problem and see if more funds could be allocated towards improving rail safety.
Gaurav Kumar, a student, said: ‘The foot over bridge at Mustara railway station of Jhansi division is under construction for years, which was also complained about but the work has not started, everyday passengers have to cross the tracks and sit in the train. It seems that the railway is waiting for an accident.’
