$1,000 reward offered for unique stolen trailer in Doña Ana County

The Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Doña Ana County is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the person or persons who stole a travel trailer in May.

The travel trailer, a green-over-white 2017 R-Pod by Forest River, was stolen sometime between May 17-19 from the 500 block of Old Highway 292, the road west of the Dona Ana County Government Center that connects Motel Boulevard and west Picacho Avenue.

Officials said the travel trailer is unique to the area and possibly the only one of its make and model in Doña Ana County.

It has a slide-out on the driver’s side and solar panels on the roof.

Police believe the person or persons responsible for the theft may have been in a Chevrolet pickup with New Mexico plates.

The pickup is described as a black with primer-gray, four-door Texas Edition that’s undergone noticeable body work.

Crime Stoppers allows tips to be provided anonymously.

Anyone with information that can help in this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store on most devices.
