$50,000 in copper wire stolen from Collinsville business

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in locating a stolen trailer.

On Thursday, deputies responded to M.C.ville Sheds at 4040 Virginia Avenue in Collinsville in reference to a report of a larceny. A release stated that a gray, enclosed trailer with approximately 18 rolls of copper wire valued at $50,000 was stolen and a white pickup truck is thought to be involved in the larceny.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, or if you know the whereabouts of the white truck or the gray trailer, you are asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 276-632-7643. The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
