Appleton Police say firearms among items stolen from unlocked vehicles

APPLETON (NBC 26) — Appleton Police are investigating a series of thefts from unlocked cars that happened earlier this month. Police said a couple of firearms were among the items stolen.

In the early morning hours of June 2, officers responded to the southside of Appleton for a series of thefts from vehicles. Police said a “considerable” amount of items were stolen, including two firearms.

Investigators have identified several victims in the neighborhoods in the area of South Oneida Street and James Madison Middle School on the city’s south side.

Appleton investigators have completed countless interviews with neighbors and have gathered video footage from all known cameras. The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals in the photos contained within this release.

In addition to the thefts in Appleton, police said the same theft suspects are also believed to have targeted the Greenville area.
