Cops: Man wanted for use of stolen credit cards

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man they say used stolen credit cards at a store in Riverhead in June.

A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was at Costco, located at 1768 Old Country Road in Riverhead, on June 11 at 3:59 p.m., police said in a press release this morning.

A man used credit cards from the wallet at Walmart, located at 1890 Old Country Road, to purchase more than $900 worth of gift cards the same day, police said.

Police released the surveillance camera image (left) of the man they said in a suspect in the theft.
