WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. police are searching for a person allegedly connected to an armed carjacking incident that took place in Southeast, D.C. in July.
On July 31, officers said they responded to the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for the report of an armed carjacking. Officials were told that the person allegedly opened the car’s door while the victim was inside, took out a firearm and demanded the victim’s car keys.

The victim listened, officials said, and the person allegedly took the keys and fled the scene in the victim’s car.
A surveillance camera captured the person allegedly connected to the incident.
Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident to call police at (202) 727-9099. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible, officials said.
