Police Ask for Public’s Assistance With Finding Stolen Ring

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a piece of men‘s jewelry stolen from a Hilo department store during the weekend. The ring is valued at about $3,400.

At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, store employees reported that a woman grabbed a gold-colored ring studded with rows of clear and dark-colored stones and ran out of the store, heading ​westbound on Puainako Street.

The female suspect is described as local with a stocky build, 5 feet tall, with short hair. She was wearing a camouflage-patterned fanny pack at the time of the incident.
