Suspect arrested in Fresno home invasion and burglary, police recover stolen goods

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail on a numerous charges including burglary.

Armando Castro of Fresno was identified as the suspect of a June 7 burglary near near West Adams and South Cherry Avenues, south of Easton.

Deputies discovered tools, electric bicycles and other items had been stolen.

Property detectives began an investigation and through evidence collected, identified Castro as the suspect.

On June 18, a home invasion robbery took place near East Springfield and South East Avenues.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says a man with a gun entered the house, forced a 75-year-old woman into a room and ordered her to stay there and threatened to shoot her if she tried to leave.

The suspect left the house and took several items with him, leaving the woman uninjured, Deputies say through evidence collected by detectives it could again be connected to Castro.

On June 19 Detectives served a search warrant at Castro’s home and found property stolen from both the burglary and home invasion robbery.

Castro was then arrested.

FCSO tell FOX26 that efforts are underway to return the property to its rightful owners.
