Woman allegedly uses stolen credit card to pay for her nails

Austin police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman who allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase new nails.

The incident occurred on June 10 around 6:58 p.m. at a Bank of America located at 2511 W Parmer Lane, according to a statement released by the Austin Police Department.

Authorities say the suspect used a stolen credit card to withdraw hundreds of dollars from an ATM. She then allegedly attempted to buy hundreds of dollars’ worth of merchandise at a nearby CVS.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic female in her early to mid-30s with a heavy-set build and brown or reddish hair. She was seen wearing a black shirt with a black rain jacket and maroon sweatpants. Police noted the suspect had colorful nails.

APD is urging anyone with information to contact Capital Area Crime Stoppers anonymously at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

The case remains under investigation.
