Libby, the cat that was rescued by the SPCA Monterey County after being shot in the leg on the Fourth of July, is now up for adoption.She was found with a pellet and shattered bone in her right leg, which was later amputated. She’s remained in the care of the SPCA since then, with soft bedding and food and water.Libby arrived at the SPCA without a microchip or any other form of identification. Last week, the SPCA Monterey County offered a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible. This investigation is still ongoing. The SPCA says Libby has been a loving cat throughout her time in their care. She’s now ready to find her forever home. Even with one leg missing, she has lots of love to give!
