A Jefferson County husband and father of four seemingly vanished Monday morning, and now there is a $100,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts.

Nathan Gemeinhart, 42, works for a property management company. He left his southern Jefferson County home about 7:45 a.m. and was going to check on some properties over on the west side of the county, said family friend Staci Self.

He was supposed to meet his wife at their kindergartner’s Meet the Teacher event at 11:30 a.m. but did not show up. Calls and texts to his phone have gone unanswered.

“He answers texts anytime someone texts him,’’ Self said. “He never doesn’t respond.”

Gemeinhart’s 2007 Toyota Corolla was last spotted on surveillance cameras at 8:40 a.m. Monday on Aaron Aranov Drive in Fairfield. There was phone data at 8:49 a.m. and there’s been nothing since then.

Gemeinhart and his family are active in Red Mountain Church. The kindergartner is the couple’s oldest of their four children.

Family and friends have been searching and sharing fliers. They have also called all area hospitals but to no avail.

“We’re very, very worried,’’ Self said.

A family friend has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts.

Gemeinhart was wearing a blue short sleeve polo shirt with a red shirt underneath, and gray pants. His Corolla has a 4 Rivers BBQ bumper sticker.

He is described as a white male, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 6-feet tall and weighs 185 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
