HE SAID HE HAD JUST GOTTEN HERE TO CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING WITH HIS FAMILY. HE SAID THAT TRIP HAS BEEN JUST ABOUT RUINED BY THIS INCIDENT. HE SHOWED US SOME SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE OF WHAT JUST WENT DOWN. YOU CAN SEE THAT ON YOUR SCREEN RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN SEE THAT TRUCK DRIVE RIGHT BY HIM SPEEDING ALONG WITH ANOTHER CAR. HE BELIEVES THAT THE CAR THIEF JUMPED OUT OF IN ORDER TO TAKE HIS TRUCK. COMING UP HERE IN JUST A SECOND, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THAT TRUCK AND THAT DOG. THE TRUCK IS A GRAY DODGE RAM. IT HAS A BIG WINCH ON THE FRONT OF IT, IT ON THE BACK. AND THE TOP RIGHT CORNER. THERE IS A LOUISIANA TECH FORESTRY STICKER. THE DOG IS A FOX RED LABRADOR. HE SAID THAT HE’S HAD IT SINCE IT WAS A PUPPY, SINCE IT WAS FOUR YEARS OLD. AND HE’S ASKING FOR HELP. ANYTHING PEOPLE CAN DO TO BRING IT BACK TO HIM. HE’S BEEN THERE SINCE EVERY DAY. A man who is visiting New Orleans to visit his family for Thanksgiving says his truck was stolen Friday night with his 4-year-old dog still inside. He says the dog has been missing for hours and he is asking for help to find it.He says the truck was stolen after his hours-long drive to Gentilly from Florida. Surveillance video shows he had stepped out of his truck with luggage in his hands when the truck was stolen. He says he left the truck running so the dog could be comfortable in the cold weather.“I’ve been with that dog every day since he was born, and she said he’s been with you every day and he is a part of our family and it’s very important that we get him back. Please help. Anybody. Just give us a call,” said Stuart Trahan, who is the dog and truck’s owner.The truck is a gray Dodge Ram with a Louisiana Tech Forestry sticker on the top right of the back windshield. The dog, whose name is Sam, is a Fox Red Labrador. Police are investigating the incident. Trahan says a $500 reward is available to anyone who drops the dog off at a local animal shelter. He says it can be done anonymously. He asks that you can contact him at 337-304-3723 when it is done.
