Reward for statue stolen from Bossier Crossroads

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—A local family asks for help locating a missing statue on Labor Day weekend.

The family says it’s been in their family for 70 years and is a staple of the crossroads business center of Bossier City near Ralph and Kacoos. The family has increased the reward from $1,500 – 5,000 for anyone who can provide information on the statue’s location.

“What I know about it is it’s a myth or a myth creature composed by a local sculptor here in the Shreveport, Bossier area. And it was given to the center to bless this community as well as bossier crossroads,” said Jordan Thaxton, a family member of the statue owner
