TABLE ROCK, Neb. (KLKN) – A three-day search operation around Table Rock State Wildlife Management Area has been completed with no sign of missing 55-year-old Linda Dillard. The Nebraska State Patrol says although they did not locate remains, significant ground was covered that will assist in their investigation.
“What our investigators learned this week directs the case into the next phase,” said Lt. Eric Jones, of NSP Investigative Services. “We are now confident that Linda is not in this large area. Our investigators continue to believe Linda may have been the victim of a crime. We urge anyone with information or anyone who was involved in her disappearance to come forward.”
NSP says numerous tips have been submitted through Nebraska Crime Stoppers and over avenues in recent days. Nebraska Crime Stoppers continues to offer a reward for information in this investigation. During the three-day operation, NSP says teams searched over 1,100 acres of land, 24 miles of roadside ditches, 1.5 miles of river, two local farms, and a local lake area.
The search consisted of 44 officers, 65 volunteers, 15 mounted patrol teams, and 8 dog teams trained for human remains detection, NSP said.
