THIS IS ALL BASED ON INFO IN THE AFFIDAVIT, BUT LANNING TOLD AUTHORITIES IN ALABAMA IT WAS RAMOS WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER. COMMUNITY LEADERS ARE VERY CONCERNED. THEY’RE STILL CONCERNED ABOUT ALL THE CRIME THAT’S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE COMPOUND. WE NEED TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT AND PROVIDE JUSTICE TO THE VICTIMS FAMILIES. LANNING’S BODY WAS BOND, RATHER, WAS DENIED. HE’S SCHEDULED TO MAKE HIS NEXT COURT APPEARANCE ON OCTOBER 24TH. WE’RE WORKING TO GET SOME MORE DETAILS. AFTER TWO PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED AFTER THE SEARCH FOR A GUNMAN IN PORT ORANGE. INVESTIGATORS IN VOLUSIA COUNTY HAVE NOT RELEASED THE CHARGES YET, BUT TOLD US ONE OF THE SUSPECTS WAS ARRESTED IN LACOSTE VILLAGE AND THE OTHER NEAR GEORGETOWN NEIGHBORHOODS. DAYTONA BEACH POLICE SAY THAT THERE ARE NO OTHER SUSPECTS. A JUDGE IS DENYING UTHA WALLACE’S REQUEST FOR A NEW TRIAL. HIS ATTORNEYS MADE THEIR REQUEST EARLIER THIS WEEK, SAYING BAD INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN TO THE JURY AND THE BODY CAMERA WAS ADMITTED AS EVIDENCE WHEN IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN EARLIER THIS MONTH, WALLACE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER IN THE DEATH OF DAYTONA BEACH. POLICE OFFICER JASON RAYNOR AND ORLANDO FIREFIGHTER FACES CRIMINAL CHARGES AFTER AN INCIDENT WITH A COWORKER EARLIER THIS MONTH. AN ORLANDO POLICE INVESTIGATOR WROTE THAT IT APPEARED TO BE A JOKE THAT WENT TOO FAR. WILLIAMS IS OUT ON BOND AND ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE. ONLY ONE SUNRISE MULTIPLE PEOPLE GOT HURT. AND A MAJOR CRASH IN POLK COUNTY THAT INVOLVED 16 CARS AND A TRACTOR TRAILER. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 630 LAST NIGHT IN LAKE WALES. HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED. POLICE SAY A DRIVER OF A CHRYSLER CUT IN FRONT OF A TRACTOR TRAILER CAUSING THAT TRACTOR TRAILER TO LOSE CONTROL. IT THEN HIT THE CHRYSLER CROSS THE MEDIAN AND HIT SEVERAL OTHER CARS THAT WERE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. POLICE SAY MULTIPLE PEOPLE GOT HURT AND THREE OF THEM HAD TO GET FLOWN TO THE HOSPITAL. AND AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE’S INJURIES MAY BE LIFE THREATENING. AND ORMOND BEACH BEVERAGE DISTRIBUTOR IS CHALLENGING THE AIR QUALITY PERMIT ISSUED TO BELVEDERE TERMINALS. IT’S THE COMPANY PLANNING TO BUILD A FUEL TERMINAL IN ORMOND BEACH. THE DISTRIBUTOR, SR PERU, FILED A PETITION WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION CHALLENGING THE AIR QUALITY PERMIT THAT WAS ISSUED IN THE PETITION. THEY ARGUE BELVEDERE FAILED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE PUBLIC NOTICE. THE PETITION ALSO CITES ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS AND CITIZENS CONCERNS.
